CORTLAND, N.Y. - State University of New York Atheltic Confernce (SUNYAC) women's basketball is the first Division III conference to join forces with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to participate in the Play4Kay National Free Throw Challenge which helps fight against all cancers affecting women. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund has already raised $7.53 million from women's basketball programs across the country.
All 10 SUNYAC member institutions, Brockport, Buffalo State, Cortland, Fredonia, Geneseo, New Paltz, Oneonta, Oswego, Potsdam and Plattsburgh, have taken on the challenge of securing pledges for the Play4Kay National Free Throw Foundation sponsored by John & Sue Gibbs. With every free throw made during all games throughout the month of February, donations will go towards fighting against all women's cancer. The SUNYAC has already raised $651 in the first week!
