CORTLAND, N.Y. - This week's PrestoSports Athletes of the Week for Women's Swimming and Diving go to Alana Szewczyk (South Wales, N.Y.) and Taylor Williams (Slate Hill, N.Y.), both student-athletes at Cortland. Szewczyk is the Swimmer of the week, Williams is this week's Diver.
Szewczyk won both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.46) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.17) during Cortland's narrow 161-139 dual loss at Ithaca. She also swam the breaststroke leg in 1:07.68 on the Red Dragons' winning 400-yard medley relay (4:06.85).
Williams won 3-meter diving with a score of 267.50 points and finished second on the 1-meter board with 246.45 points in Cortland's dual-meet loss at Ithaca. Her 3-meter score meets the NCAA regional qualifying standard.
