SUNYAC announces the PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces the PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week. Brockports Chloe Kurst (Vestal, N.Y.) has been named the PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week and Brockport's Morgan Elmer (Syracuse, N.Y.) has been named the PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Kurst scored a career-high five goals and added on assist in No. 21 Brockport's season opening win over No. 22 Denison. The team won 14-12 at home as Kurst finished with six points, eight shots on goal, and one ground ball.
Elmer started at goalie for Brockport as the team defeated Denison University at home, 14-12, in the season opener. Elmer came up with 16 saves in the contest to help secure a big win to start the season 1-0.
