CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces the PrestoSports Men's Indoor Track and Field weekly awards. Plattsburgh's Andrew Horan (Albany, N.Y.) has been named the PrestoSports Track Athlete of the Week and Brockport's Egypt Page (Binghamton, N.Y.) the Field Athlete of the Week.
Horan won two events in a span of less than an hour at the St. Lawrence Invitational on Saturday. He crossed first in the mile run with a SUNYAC-leading time of 4:26.64 before running a conference-best 1:58.59 in the 800-meter run. Both performances were indoor personal bests for Horan. He also clocked a split of 51.8 on the Cardinals' second-place 4x400-meter relay team that charted a time of 3:39.91.
Egypt Page helped Brockport place second at the Ithaca College meet over the weekend with three finishes inside the top two. He placed first in the long jump with a distance of 7.14 meters and then took second in the triple jump with a leap of 12.63 meters. Additionally Page won the 60-meter dash event with a time of 7.09.
