CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) PrestoSports Women's Indoor Track and Field weekly awards determined. Brockport's Satin Holmes (Rochester, N.Y.) is the PrestoSports Track Athlete of the Week and teammate Chanyce Powell (Albion, N.Y.) is the Field Athlete of the Week.
At the Golden Eagles Invitational over the weekend Holmes took first place in both the 60-meter and 200-meter events. Her times of 7.94 and 26.10 met the AARTFC qualification marks for each event.
Powell won the long jump and triple jump this past Saturday at the Golden Eagle Invitational. With her best distances of the indoor season, Powell put herself in the top 15 on the national qualifying list for both events. Powell's ranked 7th in the triple jump with a distance of 11.44 meters and 13th in the long jump with a distance of 5.48 meters.
