CORTLAND, N.Y.- The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selects Justin Summers (Brooklyn, NY) of Brockport as this week's PrestoSports Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week recipient.
Summers led Brockport to back-to-back wins last week, averaging 24.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the floor. He also did his job on defense with two steals and three blocks during the week. The team picked up its first win of the year, 75-74, against Hobart with Summers posting a 23 and 10 double-double. In the weekend victory against Medaille he finished with 26 points and nine boards, as the Golden Eagles won 96-84. He is currently third in the conference this season, averaging 20.3 points per game with Brockport holding a 2-1 record.
