Corso named PrestoSports Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selects Oneonta's Leanne Corso (Commack, N.Y.) as its PrestoSports Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Corso averaged nearly a double-double this past week in helping to lead the Red Dragons to a 1-1 record at the Puerto Rico Classico. Corso came off the bench to score 16 points in 16 minutes in a 56-51 setback to UT Dallas in Oneonta's opener. She followed this past Saturday with 14 points and 10 boards off the bench in a 43-36 come-from-behind victory against Colby-Sawyer College. Corso currently leads Oneonta in both scoring and rebounding coming off the bench in all nine games this season. She is just under 12 points per game (11.9) and is averaging 8.1 rebounds per contest.
