CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces the PrestoSports Women's Indoor Track and Field weekly awards. Brockport's Chanyce Powell (Albion, N.Y.) has been named the PrestoSports Field Athlete of the Week and Cortland's Taylor Hunter (Buffalo, N.Y.) has been named the PrestoSports Track Athlete of the Week.
Powell won the long jump with a distance of 5.47 meters. She also added a first place finish in the triple jump and will move up on the national qualifying list following her season-best distance of 11.67 meters. She now holds the 11th best triple jump and 27th best long jump on the national qualifying list.
Hunter finished sixth of 28 in the 200-meter dash (26.07) and 13th of 31 in the 60-meter dash (8.06), both with AARTFC qualifying efforts, at the Cornell University Deneault Invitational.
