
2020 Swimming and Diving Championships - Day 3
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's and women's swimming and diving championships finished the third day of competition, Friday night at the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo.
Geneseo took home six men's titles and won four women's races while New Paltz won the men's 200 freestyle, Cortland won the women's 200 freestyle and Oneonta won the women's 100 backstroke.
The Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission Director of Sport Sales, Chuck Giglia, presented the conference with a check Friday night. The conference appreciates the Commission's generosity and support which helps return the SUNYAC swimming and diving championships to Buffalo year after year.
Record Breakers
Geneseo women's 200 medley relay team of Lauren Siegel, Noelle Staso, Celeste Pace and Deidra Osula broke the SUNYAC meet and conference record, 1:43.97.
Geneseo's Paige Turcotte set a new meet and conference record in the 400 IM touching the wall in 4:28.43.
Junior Staso also broke the 100 breaststroke meet and conference record, swimming the race in 1:03.47.
The championship concludes Saturday with prelims starting at 10 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m. Full Schedule
