CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Cortland's Eric Edwards (Binghamton, N.Y.) the PrestoSports Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.
Edwards averaged 22.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game and registered three double-doubles in a 2-1 week for the Red Dragons. He began the week with 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 78-71 win at New Paltz, followed on Friday with 25 points and 12 rebounds in an overtime loss to league leader Brockport. Edwards closed the week with 17 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, along with three assists, in a 64-54 win over visiting Geneseo Saturday.
