SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) honors Nick Pastore of Brockport and Ryan Flansburg of Cortland as PrestoSports Baseball Athlete and Pitcher of the Week.
In four games this week Brockport senior, Pastore recorded a .467 batting average on seven hits in 15 at bats scoring a total of eight runs, four rbi's, four doubles and a triple with one stolen base. He posted a .556 on-base percentage and a .867 slugging percentage. His best game came in the second game of a double header against Fredonia on Thursday afternoon where the Wynantskill, NY native went 3-4 with two runs, a double and three RBI's with a .750 batting average, .750 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage. His triple in game 1 against Fredonia Thursday tied him for second on Brockport's single season triple's list with four this season. The current record is five.
Flansburg tossed six shutout innings for the victory in Cortland's 15-2 win at Oneonta on Saturday. He gave up only two hits, struck out four and didn't walk anyone.
