Sullivan Honored as SUNYAC Women's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) is proud to honor Geneseo's Hannah Sullivan as its 2021 Women's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year. During each season, the conference recognizes student-athletes for their efforts in their sport, as well as their academics. Out of hundreds of fall athletes, one athlete from each sport was selected for this distinction.

Sullivan, a senior adolescent education and English major with a 3.96 GPA, was named a 2021 United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American and earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors. This season, the midfielder scored 25 points on seven goals and 11 assists. Sullivan was named to the first-team All-SUNYAC and she was the 2021 SUNYAC Tournament MVP after helping her team win the program's ninth overall league title. Sullivan is a two-time President's List honoree and was named to the Dean's List four-times. She serves as a peer tutor and works as a manager of Student-Athlete Mentors as part of the Knights' Student-Athlete Resource Center.

In order to be eligible for the SUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Year award student-athletes must prove both academic and athletic excellence by obtaining a minimum 3.30 overall GPA, be a starter or significant reserve for their team, and be at least a sophomore. The SUNYAC Scholar Athlete Award began in 2016-17.
