Cortland's Lorenzen and Potter chosen for PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has chosen Cortland's Hannah Lorenzen and Paige Potter as PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.

Lorenzen helped guide Cortland (5-4, 3-0 SUNYAC) to two conference victories last week, scoring 13 points on nine goals and four assists and adding two ground balls and 12 draw controls. In a 15-3 win at Oneonta on Wednesday, Lorenzen tallied a game-high six points on five goals and an assist with eight draws. She then scored a game-high seven points on four goals and three assists with four draws as the Red Dragons defeated nationally 24th-ranked Geneseo, 14-6, at home on Saturday. For the season, Lorenzen leads Cortland in scoring with 36 points on a team-best 26 goals and 10 assists and also leads the team with 45 draws.

Potter helped lead Cortland (5-4, 3-0 SUNYAC) to a pair of conference wins last week, posting a 2-0 record with a 4.50 GAA, 17 saves, a .654 save percentage and two ground balls. In a 15-3 victory at Oneonta on Wednesday, Potter made nine saves and posted a .750 save percentage. She then turned aside eight shots and recorded a .571 save percentage as the Red Dragons knocked off 24th-ranked Geneseo, 14-6, at home on Saturday. The game was Cortland's fourth this season against a nationally ranked team. For the season, Potter has posted a 5-4 record with a 9.33 GAA, 60 saves, a .417 save percentage and 14 ground balls.
