Mulder Tabbed 2022 SUNYAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Scholar Athlete of the Year

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) honors Geneseo's Madison Mulder as the 2022 Women's Outdoor Track and Field Scholar Athlete of the Year as nominated and voted on by the conference sports information directors. 

Mulder holds a 3.82 cumulative GPA as a business administration major with a double minor in marketing and Biology. She is a nine-time All-American, qualifiying for the NCAA championship meet seven times. She was also named the 2022 SUNYAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year. Mulder is top 10 in NCAA Division III history in the 4x400 relay, an eight-time AARTFC champion and 11-time SUNYAC champion. She was also named the 2022 SUNYAC Indoor Track and Field Scholar Athlete of the Year, was CoSIDA Academic All-District, is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Eta Sigma and  Alpha Phi Omega Honors Societies, the Golden Key International Honors Society, the founder and President of Geneseo Women in Business Club and is a guide dog trainer for vision-impaired.

During each season, the conference honors student-athletes for their efforts in their sport, as well as their academics. Out of hundreds of spring athletes, one athlete from each sport was selected for this distinction. In order to be eligible for the SUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Year award student-athletes must prove both academic and athletic excellence by obtaining a minimum 3.30 overall GPA, be a starter or significant reserve for their team, and be at least a sophomore. The SUNYAC Scholar Athlete Award began in 2016-17.
