GENESEO, N.Y. - Three teams remain to play for the 2022 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) softball crown afterthe second day of the conference tournament, Friday at Geneseo's Vic Raschi Softball Field.
Top seed and host, Geneseo defeated Oneonta, 9-3, while Cortland beat New Paltz, 5-3 in the first two games of the day. In the third game Plattsburgh was eliminated by New Paltz winning 7-1. The Cardinals ended their season14-19 overall. The Knights gave Cortland its first loss of the double elimination tournament with a 6-4 win to end the day.
New Paltz will take on Cortland at 11 a.m. Saturday. The winner will play Geneseo at 1:30 p.m.
