SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Geneseo's Michael Gannon as its PrestoSports Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Gannon led the Knights to a 2-1 week with a pair of SUNYAC victories to remain unbeaten in conference play. Over three games he averaged a double-double with 24.7 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. He recorded a field goal percentage of 52.6 and three-point percentage of 41.2. In a 77-75 win over New Paltz he dropped 26 points and eight rebounds, and in a 91-68 win against Oneonta he recorded 24 points and 13 rebounds. In Geneseo's game against Hamilton on Jan. 3 he posted 24 points and 10 rebounds.
