Cortland Wins 2022 Men's Lacrosse Title

CORTLAND, N.Y. Cortland beat Geneseo, 7-6, to win the 2022 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's lacrosse championship, Saturday at the Cortland Stadium Complex. This is Cortland's fourth-straight and 28th overall men's lacrosse conference crown. With the win the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division III men's lacroose tournament.

Elite 20 

The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. For the second year in a row, Geneseo's Sean Byrne was honored as the men's lacrosse Elite 20 winner. He holds a 3.65 GPA as a business administration major.
