Barber and Crockett earn PrestoSports Women's Track and Field weekly honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) picks Plattsburgh's Janyll Barber and Brockport's Sarah Crockett as PrestoSports Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Barber set the meet record in the 400-meter hurdles at the St. Lawrence Intercollegiate Athletics Twilight Meeting on Saturday, clocking a first-place time of 1:03.47. That time, which met AARTFC and SUNYAC qualification, currently ranks 16th in NCAA Division III.

Crockett won the women's shot put with a distance of 12.83m as the Golden Eagles took home first place in the team competition at the University of Rochester on Saturday. Crockett added a second place finish and a personal record in the discus with a throw of 38.62m. Crockett currently ranks 20th nationally in the shot put (13.54m), and 31st in the hammer (49.56m).
