Oswego's Broughman and Flack Take PrestoSports Ice Hockey Weekly Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has picked Oswego's Travis Broughman and Tyler Flack as this week's PrestoSports Ice Hockey Athlete and Rookie of the Week respectively.

Broughman scored the Lakers' second goal of a 3-2 win against SUNY Canton in the Consolation Game of the Best Western Clarion Oswego State Hockey Classic and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. The Mechanicsville native leads the 9-4-1 Lakers in points (14) and is tied in assists (9). 

Tyler Flack extended his points streak to five straight games with an assist in each of the Lakers' two games this past weekend. Flack recorded the primary assist in Oswego's lone goal of a 2-1 setback to fourth ranked Augsburg and then assisted on the game winner in the team's 3-2 over SUNY Canton on Sunday. In his last five games, Flack has 11 points and is now tied for the team lead in assists with nine. The Oswego State men's ice hockey team returns to action on Sunday with a 3 p.m. contest at third-ranked Utica College. This will be the fifth nationally ranked opponent the Lakers will have faced this season.
