SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) recognizes Cortland's Antonio Pragana and Zack Durant as PrestoSports Baseball Athlete and Pitcher of the Week.
Pragana batted .583 (7-for-12) with four doubles, a triple, four walks, two RBI and seven runs scored during a 3-1 week for nationally sixth-ranked Cortland. He had a .688 on-base percentage and a 1.083 slugging percentage. Pragana opened the week Monday by going 2-for-5 with two doubles in a 5-3 win over Fredonia. On Friday he was 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored in a 15-2 win over Brockport, and on Saturday he went 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, a walk, two RBI and three runs in a 22-3 victory versus Brockport.
Durant won both of his starts during the week. He allowed just one hit and one walk and struck out four in four and a third scoreless innings in a 5-3 win over Fredonia on Monday, and he gave up five hits, one walk and three runs with three strikeouts over five innings in a 22-3 win versus Brockport Saturday.
