SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Oswego's Slater Bushen the PrestoSports Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week and Oneonta's Tristan Battistoni the Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Bushen had three goals over the weekend in a pair of SUNYAC road wins for the Lakers. Bushen scored the overtime game winner against Fredonia on Saturday and had a the first two in the Lakers' 5-2 victory over Buffalo State on Friday. Oswego kicks off the home portion of their SUNYAC slate with a 4 p.m. game on Friday versus Brockport at the Laker Turf Field.
Battistoni anchored a defensive unit that surrendered only one goal in a pair of SUNYAC wins vs. Plattsburgh and Potsdam. He also contributed to the offense burying a pair of penalty kicks.
