SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Kathleen McCarey of Geneseo and Sarah Crockett of Brockport as the PrestoSports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Junior McCarey was named the Track Athlete of the Week after she ran a sub-10:00 3,000. She clocked in the ninth-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season with a 9:54.92 at the Ithaca Bomber Invite.
Brockport's Crockett was named the Field Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after she placed first in both the women's weight throw and shot put at the Brockport Multi this past weekend. Crockett placed first in the shot put with a distance of 13.03m and in the weight throw threw for 15.25m. In the country, Crockett is ranked 15th in the shot put (13.17m) and 29th in the weight throw (15.88m).
