SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has honored Kieran Sheridan and Cortland's Zach Nyhart as its first 2021 PrestoSports Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Sheridan won the 800-meter at the Houghton Invite with a time of 1:55.92. He also competed in the 4x200 and finished second overall with a time of 1:34.73.
Nyhart finished third overall, and was the top Division III finisher, in the pole vault at the Cornell Greg Page Relays. His height of 4.81 meters (15' 9.25") currently ranks third nationally in Division III, and he's only the fourth Cortland athlete in school history to clear that height either indoors or outdoors.
