SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) is pleased to announce Geneseo's Dan Bosio as the 2022 Men's Ice Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year. This award is nominated and voted on by the conference sports information directors. During each season, the conference honors student-athletes for their efforts in their sport, as well as their academics. Out of hundreds of winter athletes, one athlete from each sport was selected for this distinction.

Bosio is a business administration major with a 3.62 cumulative GPA. He earned third team AHCA All-American and All-SUNYAC first team this season. Bosio was also named the SUNYAC Tournament MVP. He is the only four-time SUNYAC champion in Geneseo history with 24 goals, 7 assists, and 31 points. In the SUNYAC semifinal and finals, Bosio scored two goals. He also scored two goals in the NCAA Tournament semifinal vs. UNE - NCAA Frozen Four All-Tournament Team. This season he had a team-high of two hat tricks and was also tied for NCAA Division III lead with nine power-play goals.
