SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) honors Geneseo's Rory Tobin and Natalia Krol as PrestoSports Tennis Singles and Doubles Athletes of the Week.
Tobin led the Knights to two key SUNYAC victories this weekend as they clinched the No. 3 seed for the tournament. In a 9-0 win over Brockport she won at third singles 6-0, 6-0, and then against Cortland she earned the match-clinching point in a 5-4 victory with a score of 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4) at third singles.
Krol and Tobin went 2-0 at first doubles this week and helped the Knights clinch the No. 3 seed for the SUNYAC playoffs. They earned an 8-5 victory against Brockport and then an 8-4 win against Cortland to help the Knights pull out a 5-4 win.
