SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Brockport and New Paltz will move on to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's basketball semifinals after winning first round games on Tuesday, February 22.
No. 3 Brockport defeated No. 6 Potsdam, 60-55, while No. 4 New Paltz topped No. 5 Cortland, 84-81. The Golden Eagles will face second-seeded Oneonta and the Hawks will take on top-seeded Oswego, Friday at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. respectively at Oswego. Brockport won the last SUNYAC men's basketball title in 2020 for its ninth overall win in program history. There was no competition in 2021 due COVID-19. Buffalo State leads the conference with 18 overall conference titles.
