SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) awards Cortland's Austin Grunder as the PrestoSports Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Grunder averaged 34.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 road swing for the Red Dragons. He shot 58 percent from the floor (26-of-45) and 94 percent from the foul line (17-of-18). Grunder scored 36 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in a loss at Oneonta on Friday, and the following afternoon he scored 33 points and added nine rebounds, two assists and a career-high four blocks in an 82-71 win at New Paltz. Grunder has reached the 30-point mark in four of his last seven games and currently leads the SUNYAC in scoring at 20.6 points per game.
