Sciore, Durante and Bryer Receive PrestoSports Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Cortland's Michael Sciore and Luca Durante the PrestoSports Men's Ice Hockey Athlete and Goaltender of the Week respectively while Plattsburgh's Paul Bryer has been selected Rookie of the Week.

Sciore helped lead the Red Dragons to a 2-1 record in three non-league games last weekend, totaling six points on two goals and four assists, winning 35-of-59 face-offs (.593) and posting a plus/minus rating of +5. In an 11-2 win versus Rivier on Tuesday, he scored a career-high four points on one goal and three assists, won 19-of-23 face-offs and recorded a +4 rating. On Friday, Sciore netted the game-winning goal and added an assist in a come-from-behind 7-3 victory at Nazareth. He then won 10 face-offs in a 2-0 setback at third-ranked Utica on Sunday. For the season, Sciore has a team-high 13 points on four goals and nine assists, has won 192-of-329 face-offs (.584) and registered a +7 rating.

Durante posted a 1-1 record with a 2.03 GAA, 83 saves and a .954 save percentage in a pair of road non-conference games last weekend for the Red Dragons. In a 7-3 win at Nazareth on Friday, Durante stopped 39 shots as Cortland overcame a 3-1 deficit. Two of the three goals allowed came as Nazareth skated with a two-man advantage. On Sunday, he turned aside a season-high 44 shots in a 2-0 setback at nationally third-ranked Utica, allowing just a power-play goal in 58:18. For the season, Durante has posted an 8-3-1 record with a 2.15 GAA and a .941 save percentage.

Bryer recorded four points on two goals and two assists and posted a +3 rating, helping Plattsburgh State go 1-1-0 at the W.B. Mason Winter Classic. For his efforts, he was named to the All-Tournament Team. Bryer scored his first two collegiate goals and added an assist in a 6-4 loss to Albertus Magnus College on Friday before dishing out the primary assist on a goal with just 0.3 seconds left in the second period as a part of the Cardinals' 8-2 win against King's (Pa.) College on Sunday.
