SYRACUSE, N.Y. - New Paltz field hockey finished the regular season undefeated (6-0) to earn the No. 1 seed going into the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) championship while Cortland (5-1) was second. Both teams will host semifinal games on Wednesday, November 3. New Paltz will face the fourth-seeded Oneonta at 1:30 p.m. while Cortland will take on No. 3 Geneseo at 2 p.m.
The 2021 championship game is set for Saturday, November 6 at the higher seed. Geneseo won the last SUNYAC field hockey championship in 2019. Cortland leads the league with 15 conference titles overall while New Paltz holds five and Geneseo has three. Click here to view the full bracket.
