SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has announced Cortland's Maggie Malone as it's PrestoSports Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Malone led Cortland to two road victories as the Red Dragons extended their winning streak to nine games. She scored 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting and grabbed four rebounds in an 81-48 win at Plattsburgh on Thursday, and the following day made 7-of-13 shots and finished with 19 points and four rebounds in a 64-55 victory at Potsdam. She shot 52 percent from the floor for the week, including 50 percent (3-for-6) from 3-point range, and she was 8-for-9 from the foul line.
