SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selected Oneonta's Megan Francoeur as its PrestoSports Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
For the third time this season, Francoeur was the top overall individual finisher for the Oneonta women's cross country team. This past Saturday she won the Airfield Invitational out at Fortin Park in the Town of Oneonta, as the Red Dragons took the team title with a team score of 29. Francoeur covered the 5K distance in a time of 19:19, which is the fifth fastest all time for a first-year runner in the history of the women's program. Her time is the second fastest for an Oneonta rookie at Fortin Park in the 5K and overall, her time is the 14th fastest in program history for the distance.
