SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) honors Brockport's Rocco Santillo and Aidan Fitzgerald as PrestoSports Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.
The Golden Eagles went 2-1 over the week with wins over Keuka (18-3) and Hilbert (26-4). The team's one loss came in overtime to #14 John Carroll by a score of 16-15. In three games, Santillo recorded 11 points on nine goals and two assists with three goals against Hilbert and four goals against #14 John Carroll. He recorded one ground ball and one caused turnover. With 17 shots he had a 52.9 shooting percentage and with 11 shots on goal a shots on goal percentage of 64.7%
Brockport's Fitzgerald recorded a total of 22 ground balls over the team's three games including 10 against Keuka and five against #14 John Carroll. The senior from Calverton, NY also recorded 12 caused turnovers and two turnovers in three games. He also recorded one point on an assist against Keuka. The team went 2-1 over the week with wins over Keuka (18-3) and Hilbert (26-4). It's one loss came to #14 John Carroll in overtime 16-15.
