CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland topped Geneseo, 16-14, to win its second straight and 23rd overall State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's lacrosse championship, Saturday at Cortland's Stadium Complex. With the win the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division III women's lacroose tournament.
Hannah Lorenzen was named the Tournament MVP after leading Cortland on offense with eight goals and two assists. Paige Potter had nine saves in goal for the Red Dragons. Hannah Marafioti had four goals and three assists for the Knights and was named to the All-Tournament team.
