SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Brockport's Veronica Dailey and Oneonta's Isabella Fabrizio as its Presto Sports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week respectively.
The Brockport men's and women's indoor track and field team competed at Ithaca College Friday night in a quad meet featuring the host school, Brockport, Moravian University and Oneonta. In the women's 3000m race, Dailey took home a first place finish running the event in 11:16.33. The Golden Eagle's will next host the Brockport Invitational on Saturday, January 22 in the SERC. The first event will start at 10am.
Fabrizio won the shot put this past Friday at the Ithaca Invitational outdistancing the second place thrower by more than two feet. Fabrizio, who set the program indoor record in the opening meet back in December, posted a mark of just under 39 feet. Fabrizio also scored points with her fourth place finish in the weight throw posting a personal best mark of 42'-8".
