Pencic and Taylor Earn PrestoSports Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Buffalo State's Theo Pencic the PrestoSports Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week while Brockport's Andrew Taylor has been named the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

For the third time this season Pencic has been honored with the PrestoSports Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week after he tallied five goals to lead Buffalo State to a 3-0 week. The senior forward tallied a brace against Alfred and Potsdam, sandwiched around a game-winning goal in the 107th minute in the Bengals's 1-0 victory at Plattsburgh. Pencic currently sits with 14 goals and eight assists for 36 points, having tallied a point in each of the Bengals' last 11 games.

Playing a total of 210:31 goals in two games, Taylor picked up the win in Brockport's upset over the No. 10 team in the nation Cortland on Saturday evening. After facing seven shots the say prior against Oswego, Taylor would go on to record 13 saves while facing 27 shots against the Red Dragons. the 13 saves and 27 shots set a new career high for the sophomore goalkeeper.
