SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Ryan Cory from Cortland the PrestoSports Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and Richard Mangogna from Oneonta the Field Athlete of the Week.
Cory finished sixth in the mile run at the Utica Winter Opener with a time of 4:22.14 that currently ranks first in the SUNYAC, third in the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference, and 17th nationally in Division III.
Mangogna competed in four events at the Ithaca Invitational this past Friday. Mangogna did score points for the Red Dragons in the pole vault clearing 4.25 meters (13'-11 ¼") to take third place. He also posted personal best marks in the other three events that he competed in (60 hurdles, long jump, shot put).
